Is Indonesia is the world’s IPR objectives?
Very appropriate if the question is answered “YES”. Judging from the geographical region, Indonesia is the largest developing country in Southeast Asia with a population of approximately 250 million people.
Indonesia is an archipelago which spread from Sabang to Merauke with the abundant natural resource, fertile land and diverse arts and cultures vary from one region to another.
On that basis, Indonesia is currently experiencing rapid development as the IPR investment base region for the foreign companies which invest in Indonesia, evidenced by statistics on the IPR application at the Office of Department of Law and Human Rights Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights in Indonesia, which each year is increasing.
The effort could not be separated from Government efforts, especially the Department of Law Directorate General of IPR continues to innovate to improve services and socialization of IPR in Indonesia. Indonesian Government measures in question include: have 400 more inaugurated IPR consultants registered as government partners who can socialize the IPR with the hope can increase investor confidence and public awareness to protect its IPR as a very valuable asset, and last but not least the importance of public awareness to appreciate other people's work.
Do not crib, let's innovate...
